Terms, agreements, waivers, and privacy for Lawal Travel Services.

Version 1.0  ·  Effective September 29, 2026
These terms apply only to Lawal Travel Services group travel experiences — trips that we design, organize, price, and personally host. If you hired us to plan a trip for you individually, see Terms & Conditions instead.

On an individual booking we act as your agent and arrange services from suppliers you select. On a group experience we are the organizer. We build the trip, we set the price, we carry the risk of filling it, and we travel with you.

That difference changes how payment, cancellation, and responsibility work, which is why this is a separate document.

By reserving a place on a Lawal Travel Services group travel experience, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and to the Trip Sheet for your specific trip.

1Definitions

"LTS," "we," "us," "our" means Lawal Travel Services, a Tennessee business.

"Experience" means a curated, escorted group travel program organized and hosted by LTS, sold as a single package at a single published price.

"Trip Sheet" means the trip-specific page, confirmation, or document that states your Experience name, travel dates, price, downpayment, administrative fee, final payment date, cancellation cutoff date, minimum group size, inclusions, and exclusions. The Trip Sheet is incorporated into and forms part of this agreement. Where the Trip Sheet and these Terms conflict, the Trip Sheet controls.

"You," "your," "Traveler" means each person who reserves a place on an Experience, and each person on whose behalf a reservation is made.

"Supplier" means any independent third party that provides a component of an Experience, including hotels and resorts, cruise lines, airlines, ground transportation providers, excursion and activity operators, guides, drivers, photographers, restaurants, and vendors.

"Host" means Jenita Lawal or another LTS representative who travels with the group.

2What LTS is, and what LTS is not

2.1 We are the organizer of the Experience

LTS designs the itinerary, negotiates and contracts with Suppliers, sets the price, manages the group, and hosts the trip on the ground. In that capacity we are the operator of the Experience as a whole.

2.2 We do not own or operate the underlying services

LTS does not own, operate, manage, staff, or control any hotel, resort, cruise ship, aircraft, vehicle, vessel, restaurant, excursion, or venue used on an Experience. Every one of those services is delivered by an independent Supplier with its own management, its own employees, its own safety practices, and its own terms and conditions.

We select Suppliers with reasonable care based on our professional judgment and experience. We do not guarantee their performance, and we are not responsible for their acts, errors, omissions, negligence, delays, defaults, insolvency, or cessation of operations. Section 15 sets out the full limitation of our liability.

2.3 Supplier terms apply to you

Suppliers impose their own terms and conditions, including conditions of carriage, resort policies, waivers, and cancellation rules. Those terms apply to you directly and may limit your rights and remedies against the Supplier. Where a Supplier requires you to sign a waiver or release in order to participate in an activity, participation is conditioned on your doing so.

2.4 We are not an insurer, a physician, or a lawyer

We are not a licensed insurance producer and cannot advise you on the terms, adequacy, exclusions, or claims process of any insurance policy. We are not medical professionals and cannot advise you on health, immunization, or fitness questions. We are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice on entry requirements, visas, or immigration status.

3Who can travel

3.1 Age and capacity

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract. Where an Experience is designated adults-only, or where the resort or cruise line imposes an age minimum, that minimum applies and we cannot waive it.

3.2 Accuracy of your information

You are responsible for the accuracy of every piece of information you give us, including the exact legal name as it appears on your passport or government identification, date of birth, gender marker, citizenship, contact details, and emergency contact.

Name corrections after tickets or reservations have been issued are subject to Supplier fees, which can be substantial and in the case of airline tickets can equal the full fare. Those fees are yours.

3.3 Fitness to participate

Our Experiences involve walking, standing, uneven terrain, stairs, boats, buses, heat, altitude, and full days. Some involve activities with inherent physical risk.

You are responsible for assessing your own fitness to participate and for consulting your physician where appropriate. You must tell us in writing, before you make your final payment, about any medical condition, mobility limitation, allergy, dietary requirement, or accessibility need that may affect your participation or that we should know about in an emergency.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate disclosed needs and we will tell you honestly when we cannot. We cannot provide personal care, individual assistance, or one-to-one supervision, and we cannot guarantee that facilities abroad meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards. Accessibility outside the United States varies widely and is outside our control.

If a disclosed or undisclosed condition makes it unsafe or impracticable for you to participate, we reserve the right to decline or terminate your participation under Section 13.

3.4 Travel documents are your responsibility

You are responsible for obtaining and carrying a valid passport, any required visas, entry permits, proof of vaccination, and all other documentation required by every country on your itinerary and by every Supplier. See Traveler Responsibilities for the full checklist.

Many countries require that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond your date of entry and have blank pages available. Some countries deny entry based on prior criminal offenses, including offenses that may seem minor in the United States. Entry rules change frequently and without notice.

Check your requirements at travel.state.gov and confirm them directly with the relevant consulate. We will tell you what we know, but we do not warrant the accuracy of entry requirements and we are not responsible for denied boarding, denied entry, deportation, or any resulting loss.

If you are denied boarding or entry for any reason, no refund is due and you are responsible for your own return travel and costs.

4What your payment covers

4.1 The Experience is one product

An Experience is a single, curated package sold at a single price. That price reflects the whole of what we have designed, which typically includes accommodation, group activities and excursions, group transportation, hosted programming, planning and coordination, on-site hosting, and the logistical work that happens in the year before you board a plane.

The price is not a sum of separately priced parts, and it is not a resale of a hotel room. We do not itemize component costs, and individual components have no stated value.

4.2 Unused components are not refundable

If you choose not to participate in an included activity, arrive late, depart early, skip a meal, or decline any part of the Experience for any reason, no refund, credit, or substitution is due. This applies whether the reason is personal preference, illness, flight disruption, or anything else.

4.3 What is included and what is not

Your Trip Sheet lists inclusions and exclusions. Unless your Trip Sheet says otherwise, the following are not included:

  • Airfare and airline fees of any kind, including baggage and seat selection
  • Travel insurance
  • Passport, visa, and entry fees
  • Meals, drinks, and activities not specifically listed as included
  • Gratuities beyond those stated as included
  • Spa services, resort activities carrying a surcharge, and personal purchases
  • Room service, minibar, and incidental charges
  • Trip-extension nights and any travel before or after the published dates
  • Anything not expressly listed as included

4.4 Resort credits and third-party amenities

Where an Experience includes resort credits, onboard credits, or similar amenities, those are issued and administered by the Supplier under the Supplier's rules. They typically carry restrictions, expire at the end of your stay, and have no cash value. We do not control them and cannot replace them if the Supplier declines to honor them.

5Your host

5.1 We travel with you

Every Experience is escorted. A Host travels with the group and is present throughout the published program. Hosting is a material part of what you are purchasing.

5.2 Host substitution

Illness, family emergency, injury, travel disruption, or other circumstances may prevent a particular Host from traveling. LTS reserves the right to substitute a qualified Host without notice, and a Host substitution is not grounds for cancellation, refund, or credit. We will tell you as soon as we know.

5.3 What the Host does and does not do

Your Host manages the group program, liaises with Suppliers, and is your point of contact on the ground. Your Host is not a licensed guide, medical professional, security provider, chaperone, or caregiver, and does not supervise you outside of scheduled group activities. You are responsible for yourself during free time and independent activity.

6Occupancy, roommates, and the single supplement

6.1 Pricing is per person and depends on occupancy

Experience pricing is published per person at single occupancy and at double occupancy. Double occupancy pricing assumes two people sharing one room or cabin. Single occupancy pricing reflects the full cost of a room or cabin occupied by one person.

Sharing a room does not mean sharing a bed. Where the Supplier offers a two-bed configuration we will request it, but bed configuration is assigned by the Supplier and is never guaranteed.

6.2 If you book at the double rate, you are responsible for the room

Two travelers sharing a room are jointly responsible for the full cost of that room. Each traveler pays her own share, and each remains responsible if the other does not pay.

6.3 We do not match roommates

Roommates must book together. LTS does not assign, match, or introduce roommates, and we do not accept a double-occupancy booking from a traveler who does not name her roommate at the time of booking. If you are travelling alone and do not have someone to share with, book at the single occupancy rate.

We make no representation about the compatibility, habits, health, or conduct of any roommate you choose, and we are not responsible for disputes between roommates. A roommate conflict is not grounds for a refund, a credit, or a room change.

6.4 If your roommate cancels

If your roommate cancels, withdraws, or is removed, you have three options:

  • Pay the single supplement, the difference between the double rate and the single rate, due within 14 days of notice or by the final payment date, whichever is earlier
  • Name a replacement roommate, subject to our approval and the Supplier's, who must accept these Terms and pay in full by the final payment date
  • Cancel your own place, subject to Section 10

Your roommate's cancellation does not change her obligations under Section 10, and does not entitle either of you to anything outside those terms.

6.5 Triple and quad occupancy

Triple and quad occupancy is available only where the Trip Sheet says so.

7Reserving your place

7.1 How a reservation is made

A reservation is made when you complete our reservation form, accept these Terms and your Trip Sheet, and pay the downpayment and administrative fee in full. Places are assigned in the order complete reservations are received.

7.2 The downpayment

The downpayment stated on your Trip Sheet is due at the time of booking and is non-refundable and non-transferable, except where Section 8.5 or Section 11 applies.

7.3 The administrative fee

The administrative fee stated on your Trip Sheet is a flat service fee charged to every traveler on the Experience, regardless of how you pay. It covers booking administration and reservation management, which are performed when you reserve and are not recoverable by us afterward.

The administrative fee is non-refundable from the moment your reservation is made, except where Section 8.5 or Section 11 applies.

7.4 Your reservation is confirmed, not guaranteed

Your reservation is confirmed to you when we accept it. The Experience itself is not guaranteed to operate until it reaches its minimum group size under Section 11.

Do not purchase non-refundable airfare, pre-trip hotel nights, or any other non-refundable travel until we have notified you in writing that the Experience is guaranteed to operate. We are not responsible for any cost you incur before that notice.

8Paying the balance

8.1 No payment plans, and none needed

We do not operate payment plans and we do not enroll you in one. Pay whatever amount you like, whenever you like, as often as you like, as long as the full balance is paid by your final payment date.

Some travelers pay in full at booking. Some send a few hundred dollars a month. Some pay the balance the week before the deadline. All of that is fine.

8.2 Buy-now-pay-later

Where eligible, third-party installment options such as Klarna and Afterpay are available at checkout. Those are credit products offered by the provider, not by LTS. Approval, terms, fees, interest, and collection are entirely between you and that provider. We are not a party to that arrangement and your obligations to us are unchanged by it.

8.3 Your final payment date

The full balance is due on the final payment date and time shown on your Trip Sheet.

That date is different for every Experience, because every resort, cruise line, and vendor sets its own deadline for us. A Caribbean resort may want payment six weeks out. A cruise line may want it four months out. Your date is always set comfortably before ours, because we cannot hold a place we have not paid for.

8.4 If the balance is not paid on time

If your balance is unpaid at the final payment date and time, your booking is cancelled. Payments you have made are not refunded and are not converted to Travel Credit.

We do not charge a late fee, and there is no reinstatement process, because there is no payment plan to fall behind on. There is one date, and it is on your Trip Sheet, in your confirmation, and in every reminder we send.

If something has come up, email us before the deadline. We would far rather work it out than take your place back. Nearly every problem is solvable with notice, and none are solvable after the fact.

8.5 Price is set at publication, with two exceptions

  • Genuine pricing errors. If we discover a material error in a published price, we will tell you promptly. If the corrected price is higher, you may cancel within five days of our notice and receive a full refund of everything you have paid, including the downpayment and administrative fee. If you do not cancel within five days, the corrected price applies.
  • Government and Supplier-imposed increases. Increases in government taxes, port charges, fuel surcharges, entry fees, or similar third-party charges imposed after publication may be passed through at cost. We will document any such increase.

We do not raise prices to improve our margin after you have booked.

8.6 Currency and card charges

Prices are in United States dollars. We are not responsible for foreign transaction fees, currency conversion charges, or exchange rate movements applied by your card issuer or bank.

9Changes to your reservation

9.1 Sending someone in your place

Up to 45 days before departure, you may transfer your place to another traveler, subject to our approval and the Supplier's, for a $75 transfer fee plus any Supplier charges.

A transfer is very often the better outcome for everyone. Ask us before you cancel.

The incoming traveler must meet all eligibility requirements, accept these Terms in writing, and complete all required forms. You remain responsible for the full balance until the transfer is complete and the incoming traveler has paid. Any financial settlement between you and the incoming traveler is between the two of you.

Airline tickets are generally not transferable, and name changes after ticketing may be impossible or may cost the full fare.

9.2 Changing occupancy or room category

Requests to change occupancy or room category are subject to availability and to Supplier pricing at the time of the request. Upgrades are charged at the difference in price. Downgrades, where available, are credited at the Supplier's rate and may be subject to a Supplier change fee.

9.3 Changes we make

We may make reasonable changes to an itinerary, accommodation, activity, or schedule where necessary for safety, operational reasons, Supplier changes, weather, or circumstances outside our control. Where a change is material we will notify you and, where practicable, offer a comparable substitute.

A change of itinerary, activity, accommodation of comparable standard, or Host does not entitle you to a refund or credit.

10Cancelling your trip

10.1 Cancellation must be in writing

All cancellations must be sent by email to team@lawaltravel.com. A cancellation takes effect on the date we receive your email, not the date you decided, and not the date you told someone verbally.

We will acknowledge every cancellation in writing. If you do not receive an acknowledgment within two business days, assume we did not receive it and contact us.

10.2 Your cancellation cutoff date

Your Trip Sheet states a cancellation cutoff date for your Experience. That date is the point at which the money we have committed to Suppliers on your behalf stops being recoverable. It is different for every Experience, for the same reason final payment dates are.

10.3 Cancelling by the cutoff date

The downpayment and the administrative fee are retained. Everything else you have paid is issued to you as LTS Travel Credit, which you may apply to a future LTS group Experience under Section 12.

No cash refund is issued on a traveler-initiated cancellation, at any point. Cash refunds arise only where we cancel the Experience under Section 11, or under Section 8.5 where you decline a corrected price.

10.4 Cancelling after the cutoff date

No refund and no Travel Credit is due. By that point your room, your transfers, your excursions, and your share of the group's fixed costs have been paid for and cannot be recovered. This is firm, and it is why travel insurance is required under Section 14.

10.5 Worked example

For a traveler who paid $1,345 in full on an Experience with a $200 downpayment and a $149 administrative fee, cancelling by the cutoff date:

ItemAmount
Downpayment and administrative fee, retained$349
Issued as LTS Travel Credit$996
Cash refunded$0

10.6 Timing

Travel Credit is issued within 10 business days of our written acknowledgment of your cancellation.

Where a cash refund is due under Section 8.5 or Section 11, it is processed within 30 business days to the original method of payment. We refund the amount you paid us. We do not reimburse third-party processing fees, installment-plan fees, interest, or currency conversion charges, none of which are returned to us.

10.7 No refunds for interruption

Once an Experience has begun, no refund or credit is due for any unused portion, for any reason, including illness, injury, family emergency, quarantine, denied entry, missed connection, voluntary departure, or removal under Section 13. This is what travel insurance is for.

11If we cancel or change an Experience

11.1 Minimum group size

Every Experience requires a minimum of five (5) rooms or cabins to operate. Any combination of single and double occupancy counts toward that minimum. A Trip Sheet may set a higher minimum where the Supplier contract requires one.

We will determine whether an Experience has reached its minimum no later than the last date on which we can reduce or release our room block without penalty under our Supplier contract, and will notify all reserved travelers in writing of our decision. That date is usually earlier than the final payment date.

We confirm an Experience as soon as it reaches its minimum, which is often months before that deadline, and we notify every reserved traveler the moment we do. Section 7.4 asks you not to purchase non-refundable airfare until you receive that notice.

11.2 If we cancel

If we cancel an Experience for failure to reach the minimum group size, or for any other reason within our control, you choose one of the following:

  • A full refund of everything you have paid us, including the downpayment and the administrative fee, processed within 30 business days, or
  • LTS Travel Credit for the full amount, valid 15 months, applicable to any other LTS Experience

11.3 What we do not cover when we cancel

We are not responsible for any cost you incurred independently, including airfare, airline change fees, pre-trip or post-trip hotel nights, parking, visa or passport fees, vaccinations, time off work, or any other expense.

11.4 Force majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, extreme weather, hurricane, flood, earthquake, volcanic activity, fire, epidemic, pandemic, quarantine, public health emergency, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strike, labor dispute, government action or travel restriction, border closure, airline or cruise line schedule change or bankruptcy, infrastructure failure, or Supplier default.

Where a force majeure event prevents an Experience from operating, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to recover funds from Suppliers on your behalf. We will refund or credit to you what we are actually able to recover, less amounts irrecoverably committed and less the downpayment and administrative fee. We will account to you honestly and in writing about what was recovered and what was not.

Where a force majeure event occurs during an Experience, we will use reasonable efforts to continue the program or arrange alternatives. Additional costs arising from a force majeure event during travel, including extended accommodation, rebooked flights, and transport, are yours.

We are not able to refund money we do not have and cannot get back. That is the honest limit of what an operator of our size can promise, and it is the clearest argument for buying insurance.

12LTS Travel Credit

Travel Credit issued under these Terms:

  • Expires 15 months from the date of issue
  • Applies to the balance of a future LTS group Experience for which you are eligible
  • Cannot be applied to the downpayment or the administrative fee on that Experience. Those are payable in full, in new funds, at the time you book.
  • Is not redeemable for cash, in whole or in part
  • Is not transferable to another person
  • Cannot be extended, reinstated, or reissued after expiration
  • Is forfeited in full if unused at expiration

To put that plainly: your credit reduces what you owe on the next trip, but it does not reserve your place on it. Booking still takes the downpayment and the administrative fee, the same as it does for everyone.

13Conduct

13.1 What we expect

Our Experiences are built around a group of people who mostly do not know each other and who have paid a meaningful amount of money to enjoy themselves. Everything about the experience depends on that group treating each other, our Hosts, our Suppliers, and the people whose country we are visiting with respect.

You agree to conduct yourself accordingly, to comply with the laws of every country you visit, to follow the rules and instructions of Suppliers and Hosts, and to be on time for group activities and departures.

13.2 Alcohol and substances

Where an Experience includes an all-inclusive resort, a wine program, or similar, alcohol consumption is entirely at your own discretion and your own risk. You are responsible for your own choices and their consequences.

We reserve the right to decline service or participation where in our reasonable judgment intoxication presents a risk to you or others. Illegal drugs are prohibited without exception, and penalties abroad can be severe.

13.3 Removal

LTS and any Supplier may remove you from any accommodation, vehicle, vessel, activity, or the Experience as a whole if, in our reasonable judgment, your conduct or condition endangers you or others, materially disrupts the group, damages property, violates the law, or interferes with the operation of the Experience.

If you are removed, no refund or credit is due, and you are responsible for your own accommodation, transportation, and return travel from that point forward, at your own cost.

13.4 Damage and indemnity

You are responsible for any loss or damage you cause to property belonging to LTS, a Supplier, or another person. Payment is due directly to the affected party at the time, in a reasonably estimated amount if the exact amount is not yet known.

You agree to indemnify and hold LTS harmless from any claim, loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from your acts, omissions, or breach of these Terms.

13.5 Your belongings

Your baggage and personal effects are your sole responsibility at all times. We do not accept responsibility for loss, theft, or damage.

14Travel insurance

14.1 Travel insurance is required

Every traveler on an LTS group Experience is required to purchase travel insurance and to provide us with the provider name and policy or confirmation number before the final payment date.

We require it because our cancellation terms are firm and no cash refund is issued on a traveler-initiated cancellation. Insurance is the only thing that covers what we cannot: the emergency that arrives three weeks before departure, the diagnosis, the death in the family, the job that will not let you go.

We strongly suggest a policy that includes Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage, which is the only kind that responds to a change of mind.

Failure to provide proof of coverage does not entitle you to cancel outside these Terms, and does not alter Section 10.

14.2 Buy it early

CFAR eligibility windows are short and usually begin on the date of your first payment, often expiring 14 to 21 days later. If you intend to buy CFAR coverage, look into it in the same week you make your downpayment. Waiting almost always closes the window.

14.3 Coverage we suggest you look for

Trip cancellation and interruption, including cancellation by the operator; emergency medical expense abroad; emergency medical evacuation and repatriation; baggage loss and delay; travel delay and missed connection; and Supplier financial default.

14.4 Buy from whomever you like

We do not sell insurance and we do not require you to use a particular provider. Buy the policy that suits you, then email the provider name and policy number to team@lawaltravel.com.

14.5 What we cannot do

We are not a licensed insurance producer. We cannot interpret policy language, evaluate whether coverage is adequate for your situation, tell you which plan to buy, predict whether a claim will be approved, or advocate with an insurer on your behalf. Any policy is a contract between you and the insurer. Requiring coverage is not a representation that any particular policy will cover any particular loss.

15Assumption of risk and limitation of liability

The provisions in this section are important. They limit our liability to you and affect your legal rights.

15.1 Assumption of risk

BY RESERVING A PLACE ON AN EXPERIENCE, YOU KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH TRAVEL AND WITH PARTICIPATION IN THE EXPERIENCE, including but not limited to: bodily injury, illness, disability, and death; exposure to infectious disease and to quarantine; motor vehicle, boat, aircraft, and pedestrian accidents; water activities, including drowning; medical facilities, emergency services, and infrastructure that do not meet United States standards, and limited access to them; food and water conditions; crime, theft, and assault; political instability, civil unrest, terrorism, and war; extreme weather and natural disaster; and the acts and omissions of Suppliers and of other travelers.

You acknowledge that by offering an Experience to a particular destination, LTS does not represent or warrant that travel to that destination is advisable or without risk.

15.2 Independent suppliers

LTS IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, ILLNESS, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOSS, DELAY, INCONVENIENCE, OR OTHER HARM CAUSED BY THE ACT, ERROR, OMISSION, NEGLIGENCE, DEFAULT, INSOLVENCY, OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT OF ANY SUPPLIER OR ANY SUPPLIER'S EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR CONTRACTORS. Suppliers are independent contractors over whom LTS has no right of control.

15.3 Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY TENNESSEE LAW, LTS'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO AN EXPERIENCE, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID TO LTS FOR THAT EXPERIENCE.

LTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST WAGES, LOST VACATION TIME, OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

15.4 What this section does not do

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our own gross negligence or willful misconduct, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. If any part of this section is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in full effect and the unenforceable part is limited to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.

15.5 Release

YOU RELEASE, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE LAWAL TRAVEL SERVICES AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, HOSTS, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, SUCCESSORS, AND ASSIGNS from all claims, demands, actions, and causes of action arising from or related to any loss, damage, or injury sustained in connection with an Experience, except to the extent set out in Section 15.4.

This release binds you, your heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and estate, and is intended to be as broad as Tennessee law permits.

16Photography and media

16.1 Group photography is part of the Experience

Many Experiences include professional group photography. We also photograph and film informally throughout, and we use those images to share what our trips are actually like.

16.2 Your consent

By participating in an Experience, you grant LTS a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use photographs, video, and audio recordings in which you appear, together with your first name where relevant, for marketing, advertising, social media, website, print, and promotional purposes. You waive any right to inspect or approve the finished use, and you understand that no compensation is due.

16.3 How to opt out

If you would rather not appear in our marketing, tell us in writing at team@lawaltravel.com before departure and we will honor it. Opting out is free, has no effect on your participation, and does not require an explanation. We will make reasonable efforts to exclude you from images we publish.

We cannot control photographs taken by other travelers, by Suppliers, or by members of the public, and we are not responsible for their use.

16.4 Photographing others

You may photograph freely for your own personal use. Please ask before photographing another traveler, and respect anyone who has opted out. Do not publish images of other travelers without their permission.

17If you have a problem

17.1 While you are traveling

Tell your Host immediately. Nearly everything that goes wrong on a trip can be fixed on the spot and cannot be fixed afterward. A problem reported at the time gives us and the Supplier a chance to resolve it. A problem reported after you get home usually does not.

17.2 After you return

Send any complaint in writing to team@lawaltravel.com within 30 days of the last day of your Experience, with enough detail for us to investigate. We will respond within 15 business days.

17.3 Before you dispute a charge

If something looks wrong on your statement or you are unhappy with a charge, email team@lawaltravel.com first. Almost everything is a misunderstanding we can fix quickly.

EXCEPT IN CASES OF ACTUAL FRAUD, YOU AGREE NOT TO FILE A CHARGEBACK, PAYMENT DISPUTE, OR REVERSAL WITH YOUR BANK OR CARD ISSUER IN ORDER TO AVOID OR CIRCUMVENT THESE TERMS. Filing a dispute without first contacting us may result in cancellation of your reservation under Section 10 with no refund, and LTS reserves the right to recover the amount disputed together with all associated costs, fees, and reasonable attorney fees, and to decline future bookings.

18General

18.1 Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee, for all disputes arising out of or relating to an Experience.

18.2 Notice and good-faith resolution

Before commencing any legal proceeding, the party with the complaint will give the other 30 days' written notice describing the dispute and the resolution sought, and the parties will attempt in good faith to resolve it. This does not extend any applicable limitation period.

18.3 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The version in effect on the date you reserve your place is the version that governs your Experience, unless you agree in writing to a later version. The current version is posted on this page and is provided with your confirmation.

18.4 Entire agreement

These Terms, together with your Trip Sheet and your completed reservation form, constitute the entire agreement between you and LTS regarding your Experience, and supersede all prior communications, proposals, marketing statements, and representations, whether written or oral.

18.5 Severability

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if it cannot be, and the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

18.6 No waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision or of our right to enforce it later. Any accommodation we extend to one traveler does not create an obligation to extend it to another.

18.7 Assignment

You may not assign your rights under these Terms except through the transfer process in Section 9.1. LTS may assign its rights and obligations in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business.

18.8 Communications

We will communicate with you by email at the address on your reservation form. It is your responsibility to keep that address current and to monitor it, including checking spam folders, because deadline reminders and trip documents are sent there.

18.9 Headings and interpretation

Headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation. These Terms have been drafted to be read by travelers rather than lawyers, and no rule of construction against the drafter applies.

By planning travel with LTS, you agree to be bound by these terms and acknowledge that LTS acts solely as a booking agent for disclosed principal supplier tour operators, cruise lines, hotels, airlines, air charters, bus companies, ground transportation, boat purveyors or owners, and other independent contractors providing accommodations, transportation, and other services ("Supplier(s)"), and is not the source or provider of the travel services.

These terms include warranties and disclaimers and exclusions of liability and may restrict your rights and remedies and provide protection to LTS.

1Use of LTS services, access and information for travel bookings

You warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal authority to enter into this Agreement and to make travel bookings with LTS. You agree to be financially responsible for all of your travel bookings and warrant that all information supplied by you on behalf of yourself, members of your household, or others for whom you are authorized to transact business with us is true and accurate. You agree that you will only make legitimate reservations or purchases with LTS and its Suppliers, and acknowledge that, without limitation, any speculative, false, or fraudulent reservation is prohibited.

All bookings are accepted by LTS as agent for the travel Suppliers on your itinerary. Separate Supplier terms and conditions will apply to your reservation and purchase of travel-related goods and services that you select, and you understand and agree to abide by the terms and conditions of purchase imposed by any Supplier that you have selected as a service provider for your travel.

2Payments and cancellations

You shall be completely responsible for all charges, fees, duties, taxes, and assessments arising out of your travel bookings through LTS. By submitting a credit card authorization form to LTS, you agree to allow LTS to use your payment method to purchase travel products from our Suppliers on your behalf.

EXCEPTING IN CASES OF FRAUD, YOU AGREE NOT TO FILE ANY DISPUTE WITH YOUR BANK OR CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO AVOID OR VIOLATE ANY BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LTS OR ITS SUPPLIERS, INCLUDING CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES OF ITINERARY OR ARRANGEMENTS FOR REASONS BEYOND THE CONTROL OF LTS OR ITS SUPPLIERS. IF YOU ATTEMPT TO CHARGEBACK, REVERSE OR RECOLLECT A PREVIOUSLY AUTHORIZED TRIP PAYMENT, LTS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO COLLECT ALL ADDITIONAL COSTS, FEES AND EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH CHARGEBACK, REVERSAL OR RECOLLECTION, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ATTORNEY FEES.

All payments for travel are due prior to departure according to each Supplier's terms and conditions of booking. You understand that failure to make final payment or any violation of a Supplier's conditions of purchase may result in cancellation of your reservations, in your being denied access to any flights, tours, hotels, cruises, or other travel services, or in your forfeiting any monies paid for your reservations.

Agency service fees

Payments for agency service fees are paid directly to LTS and are separate from and not part of the trip cost. These fees are non-refundable once services have been rendered and are clearly disclosed at the time of booking. See the Planning Fee Agreement.

Cancellation policy

LTS may charge a cancellation fee of 10% of the entire trip cost or $100, whichever is higher. Payment of the cancellation fee is required prior to processing the cancellation. In some cases, there is NO REFUND once a booking is made and paid in full. You may not be entitled to a refund if you change or cancel your travel plans after confirmation of a booking. All cancellation requests must be sent to LTS in writing. As a result of cancellation, LTS's and third-party Supplier's cancellation penalties will apply. Cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card or other payment method you authorized to pay for travel services or deducted from the Supplier's refund.

Pricing

All quoted prices are subject to change until booking is confirmed and deposit is received. Prices may fluctuate based on availability, currency exchange rates, fuel surcharges, government taxes, and other factors beyond LTS's control.

When you receive any and all travel documents, it is your responsibility to review and verify all information for accuracy. Contact LTS immediately if changes or corrections are required.

3Travel documents, including REAL ID and federal identification requirements

It is the responsibility of each Client to obtain and carry a valid passport, visa(s), and all other documents required by applicable government regulations.

IMPORTANT: The Transportation Security Administration requires all travelers 18 years and older to present REAL ID-compliant identification or another acceptable form of identification (such as a passport) to board domestic flights. Non-compliant driver's licenses are not accepted for domestic air travel. See tsa.gov.

The name, date of birth and gender that appears on the identification card must exactly match the same such data that is listed on airline ticket(s) and booking records. You acknowledge any failure to strictly comply with these requirements may result in denied boarding, additional screening measures, or an undue delay at an airport security checkpoint causing Client to miss flight(s), and subsequent scheduled travel bookings on cruises and tours.

LTS strongly recommends that you take into account that certain countries will not admit a passenger if their passport expires within six (6) months of the date of entry. Non-United States citizens may require additional documentation. Client is responsible to make LTS aware when traveling on a passport from a country other than the United States of America. LTS neither controls nor warrants the issuance of visas or approval of visa waivers related to your travel. Should a visa not be issued, LTS is not responsible for lost payments made toward the contemplated trip. Please note that rules of each country regarding entry and exit change on a daily basis.

Children and infants also require travel documents. Minors traveling with one parent, and/or without both parents, may be stopped and not admitted, unless authenticated and verified consent forms are provided to the authorities.

4Individual entry and exit requirements

Each country holds different views of past criminal offenses, whether within or outside of their boundaries. If you have a current or prior criminal offense, contact that country directly for entry and exit requirements. You can visit travel.state.gov for further information. We do not inquire about an individual's criminal record in the interest of respecting our Clients' privacy. For example, if traveling to or through Canada, individuals with a Driving While Intoxicated record should review current entry requirements.

5Hazardous materials

Federal law prohibits passengers from bringing hazardous materials on the aircraft, in the passenger's luggage or on the passenger's person. A violation can result in five years' imprisonment and penalties of $250,000 or more (49 U.S.C. 5124). Hazardous materials include explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives and radioactive materials. Examples: paints, lighter fluid, fireworks, tear gases, oxygen bottles, and radiopharmaceuticals.

There are special exceptions for small quantities (up to 70 ounces total) of medicinal and toilet articles carried in the passenger's luggage and certain smoking materials carried on the passenger's person. For further information, each passenger should contact the relevant airline representative(s) on their itinerary. Restrictions are listed at tsa.gov.

6Insecticide notice

We recommend that you refer to the DOT list of airports in countries that require airlines to treat the passenger cabin with insecticides prior to the flight or while on the aircraft. This list is on the DOT's website and is updated from time to time.

7Health and immunizations

You must have the proper immunizations and health screenings and required documentation of such immunizations and screenings before travel. LTS shall not assume responsibility for the accuracy of health, vaccination, or documentation prior to departure or upon landing at the final destination. In some cases, required inoculations must be recorded by Client's health practitioner on a valid vaccination certificate, which the Client must carry for proof of inoculation. If you are concerned about taking any medications or receiving certain inoculations, check with your health practitioner BEFORE booking. See travel.state.gov and cdc.gov/travel.

8Air travel, schedule reconfirmation, check-in

LTS shall not assume any responsibility for any air schedule changes. In rare instances, upon departure from a country, certain departure taxes must be paid in cash only, and may vary in price. Failure to use a reservation may result in automatic cancellation of all continuing and return flights, as well as forfeiture of airfares.

Airline e-tickets expire a year from issue date unless carrier fare rules in passenger's itinerary fare provide otherwise.

Due to enhanced security, it is strongly recommended that you check in a minimum of 2 hours prior to scheduled departure for domestic flights and 3 hours prior for international flights. Reconfirm flight times at least 24 hours prior for domestic flights, and 72 hours prior for international flights.

By checking in for a flight, tour or cruise, you may be agreeing to additional terms and conditions imposed by the Supplier. If you have authorized LTS to check you in for any component of your trip, you take full responsibility for agreeing to and complying with the Supplier's terms and conditions of check-in.

9Right to correct errors, offers subject to availability

We reserve the right to correct errors. In the event of any pricing error or omission, we reserve the right to adjust such pricing or make any other corrections. All offers, incentives and Supplier promotions are subject to availability and may change without notice. Prospective Clients are advised to reserve early to avoid disappointment and additional late booking fees.

10Unused arrangements, minimum passenger requirements and alterations

When tour, cruise or package prices are based on Suppliers' contract rates, you will not be entitled to any refund for any unused portion of travel.

Some group tours are based on minimum numbers of passengers traveling; if the number of passengers falls below the minimum required, a surcharge may be imposed, or the tour may be canceled. Any cancellations of a tour or package for reason of failing to meet the minimum traveler requirement will be governed by the tour operator's cancellation policy.

If you decide to change any portion of your confirmed arrangements prior to departure or during your trip, we will attempt to assist you. Certain bookings may not be able to be changed. All requests for changes to a booking must be made in writing to LTS. The Supplier may determine that alterations in itinerary are necessary for any number of reasons, including but not limited to severe weather. Any alterations to an itinerary are at the sole discretion of the Supplier, and LTS bears no responsibility for any changes.

11Limitations of responsibility and disclosure

LTS acts solely as a booking agent for disclosed principal Suppliers and is not the source or provider of any travel service. Each Supplier is an independent entity with its own management and is not subject to the control of LTS. The Suppliers whose names appear in travel documentation are those actually responsible for providing the travel services purchased, and you consent to the use of those Suppliers.

BECAUSE LTS ACTS AS AGENT FOR DISCLOSED PRINCIPAL SUPPLIERS AND DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO CONTROL THE OPERATIONS OF SUCH INDEPENDENT OPERATORS AND SUPPLIERS, YOU AGREE THAT LTS IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, ILLNESS, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, WHICH MAY ARISE OUT OF THESE SERVICES. LTS HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LIABILITY FOR ANY DIRECT, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES, IN CONNECTION WITH THE GOODS OR SERVICES PROVIDED BY ANY PRINCIPAL SUPPLIER BOOKED THROUGH LTS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LIABILITY FOR ANY ACT, ERROR, OMISSION, INJURY, LOSS, ACCIDENT, DELAY OR IRREGULARITY WHICH MAY BE INCURRED THROUGH THE FAULT, NEGLIGENCE, WILLFUL ACTS, OMISSIONS OR OTHERWISE OF SUCH SUPPLIER, OR OF ANY SUPPLIER OR THEIR RESPECTIVE EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SERVANTS, OR REPRESENTATIVES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THEIR FAILURE TO DELIVER OR THEIR PARTIAL OR INADEQUATE DELIVERY OF SERVICES, THEIR CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES, FUEL INCREASES, BANKRUPTCY OR CESSATION OF OPERATIONS AND OTHER MATTERS OUTSIDE OF LTS'S CONTROL, AND YOU HEREBY EXONERATE LTS FROM ANY LIABILITY WITH RESPECT TO THE SAME.
LTS HAS SOLELY RECEIVED COMMISSION AND FEES FOR TRAVEL TRANSACTIONS AND CLIENT AGREES AND UNDERSTANDS THAT ANY RECOVERY FROM LTS WILL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT OF COMMISSION AND FEES ACTUALLY RECEIVED BY LTS.

12Assumption of risk and travel safety

Travel to certain destinations may involve greater risk than others. LTS urges Clients to remain informed on a daily basis as to current news events, as well as to review travel prohibitions, warnings, announcements and advisories issued by the United States Government prior to booking travel to international destinations. See state.gov, tsa.gov, cdc.gov, and cbp.gov. The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program is a free service for U.S. citizens traveling or living abroad; register at step.state.gov.

BY BOOKING TRAVEL SERVICES WITH LTS, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH TRAVEL, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING INHERENT RISKS: INJURY OR ILLNESS; TRAVEL TO REMOTE AREAS WITH LIMITED ACCESS TO MEDICAL FACILITIES; EXPOSURE TO DISEASES, VIRUSES, OR QUARANTINE MEASURES; ENCOUNTERING ROADS AND INFRASTRUCTURE THAT MAY NOT MEET THE STANDARDS OF YOUR HOME COUNTRY; POLITICAL INSTABILITY, CIVIL UNREST, TERRORISM, AND WAR; EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS AND NATURAL DISASTERS; AND ALL OTHER RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL.
BY OFFERING FOR SALE TRAVEL TO PARTICULAR DESTINATIONS, LTS DOES NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT TRAVEL TO SUCH POINTS IS ADVISABLE OR WITHOUT RISK, AND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR COSTS, DAMAGES, OR LOSSES THAT MAY RESULT FROM TRAVEL TO SUCH DESTINATIONS. CLIENT'S PARTICIPATION CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF SUCH EVENTS AT CLIENT'S OWN RISK.

LTS is not responsible for any injury, damage or loss arising from the events or occurrence of travel, and each traveler assumes the risk of traveling, including but not limited to risks of injury, illness, or financial or physical damage, with respect to LTS.

13Force majeure

LTS will not be in breach of these terms and conditions or otherwise be liable to you, for any failure or delay in performing an obligation under this Agreement that is due to any of the following causes, to the extent beyond its reasonable control: acts of God, accident, riots, war, terrorist act, epidemic, pandemic, quarantine, civil commotion, breakdown of communication facilities, breakdown or malfunction of equipment, destruction of or serious damage to facilities, natural catastrophes including extreme weather events, floods and volcanic eruptions, governmental acts or omissions, changes in laws or regulations, national strikes, fire, explosion, generalized lack of availability of raw materials or energy, and any other unforeseen circumstance beyond the control of LTS.

THE PURCHASE OF TRAVEL INSURANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ON ALL TRIPS.

In addition, each of LTS's Suppliers have terms and conditions which include Force Majeure provisions. In the event that a Force Majeure event occurs, those Suppliers may be entitled to, and may in their sole and absolute discretion, vary, postpone or cancel any itinerary or arrangement in relation to the trip. Payment of any refund to you as a result of the non-performance of any obligations hereunder shall remain in the sole and absolute discretion of the Supplier, pursuant to their policies, although LTS shall use its reasonable efforts to secure reimbursement for you where possible.

14Client conduct

When you book with LTS, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you. Full payment for any such damage or loss (reasonably estimated if not precisely known) must be paid directly at the time to the accommodation owner or manager or other Supplier. You must indemnify us for the full amount of any claim (also including legal costs) made against us. We are not responsible for any costs incurred concerning a guest removed from a trip, or any portion of a trip. You agree not to hold LTS or any of its related entities liable for any actions taken under these terms and conditions. Baggage and personal effects are at all times the sole responsibility of the participant.

Each participant in any trip escorted by LTS is expected to act responsibly and adhere to all behavior guidelines established by LTS and our Suppliers. LTS and all local Suppliers reserve the right to remove you from any facility, hotel or resort property, tour location or means of transportation if your health or your conduct appears to endanger yourself or others, disrupts the general well-being of other clients on any element of your trip, or interferes with the operation or security of the places we visit. In any such case, there will be no refund.

15Currency fluctuations

Currency exchange rates fluctuate. Prices are subject to change based upon currency exchange rate fluctuations. LTS is not responsible for surcharges or foreign transaction fees imposed by Client's credit card or bank.

16Travel insurance and waiver

LTS STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THE PURCHASE OF COMPREHENSIVE TRAVEL INSURANCE TO PROTECT PASSENGERS AND THEIR INVESTMENT IN TRAVEL. UNLESS SPECIFICALLY NOTED, TRAVEL INSURANCE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE COST OF CLIENT'S ITINERARY TO PROTECT AGAINST THIRD PARTY SUPPLIER DEFAULT/BANKRUPTCY PROTECTION, DELAY, INTERRUPTION, MISSED CONNECTION FOR CRUISES, CANCELLATION, MEDICAL EMERGENCY TRANSPORTATION/EVACUATION & REPATRIATION, BAGGAGE & PERSONAL EFFECTS/LOST LUGGAGE & BAGGAGE DELAY, ILLNESS, JOB LOSS PROTECTION AND CHANGE OF PLANS, ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISABILITY, TRAVEL ACCIDENT/SICKNESS MEDICAL EXPENSES, AND MORE. PROPER INSURANCE MAY PROTECT YOU FROM FINANCIAL LOSS IN ALMOST ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.

Without appropriate travel insurance, Client understands and agrees that if Client cancels or interrupts Client's travel for any reason, portions of the trip may not be refunded and LTS's and travel Suppliers' cancellation penalties will apply resulting in the loss of monies up to the full cost of Client's travel booking and related costs. The purchase of travel insurance is not required in order to purchase any other product or service offered by LTS, however if you decline to purchase insurance, LTS will require that you execute an insurance waiver.

LTS is not a licensed insurance broker, and its advisors are not qualified or authorized to answer technical questions about benefits, exclusions, and conditions of any of the insurance offered, nor evaluate the adequacy of the prospective insured's existing insurance coverage. An additional charge applies for any travel insurance selected.

LTS CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT ANY INSURANCE PROVIDER WILL APPROVE COVERAGE FOR A CLAIM MADE UNDER THE INSURER'S POLICY AND MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE EXTENT OF COVERAGE FOR ANY POLICY IT MAY OFFER OR QUOTE.

17Reservation of rights: changes to these terms

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions of the Terms will be provided to Clients, will be posted on our website and are effective immediately on posting.

18General

The laws of the State of Tennessee govern these Terms and Conditions. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in Tennessee in all disputes arising out of or relating to travel bookings with LTS.

If any part of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and agreement shall continue in effect.

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Client and LTS with respect to travel bookings made with LTS by any means, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written. A printed version of this agreement and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to these Terms and Conditions to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form.

  • I understand that this liability release is binding upon me, my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and estate, and is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by law.
  • I agree to the forum selection and jurisdiction provisions set forth in these Terms and Conditions.

By booking travel services with Lawal Travel Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including the liability waiver provisions contained herein.

Quick Reference Guide  ·  Updated September 2026
Please review these requirements before your trip. This is a summary. Your complete Terms & Conditions and, for escorted group trips, the Group Travel Terms govern your travel. Where anything here differs from those documents, they control.

1Travel documents and identification

REAL ID requirement

  • Domestic flights: REAL ID-compliant driver's license OR passport required for travelers 18 and over.
  • International travel: valid passport required for ALL travelers.
  • Passport validity: must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date.
  • Blank pages: some countries require 2 to 4 blank visa or stamp pages in your passport.
  • Name matching: all identification must exactly match your airline tickets and booking records.

Additional requirements

  • Visas: check if required for your destination. Processing can take weeks or months.
  • Vaccinations: may be required or recommended. Consult your physician well in advance.
  • Children: minors may need additional documentation, especially when traveling with one parent.
  • Make copies. Keep a photo of your passport somewhere you can reach it if the original goes missing.

2Entry requirements and restrictions

Covid-19 and health requirements

  • Entry requirements vary by destination and change frequently without notice.
  • Some countries may require vaccination certificates, negative test results, health screenings, or quarantine.
  • Return to the US: check current CDC requirements for re-entry.
  • Travel disruptions: be prepared for possible cancellations, delays, or itinerary changes due to health measures.
  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover related cancellations and medical expenses.

Criminal records

  • Countries have different policies regarding past criminal offenses.
  • Canada: DWI and DUI convictions may prevent entry. Check current requirements.
  • Contact the destination country directly for specific entry requirements.
  • We respect your privacy and do not inquire about criminal history, which means we cannot warn you.

3Health and safety

  • Vaccinations: some require administration in multiple doses months before travel.
  • Health certificates may be required for certain destinations.
  • Travel advisories: check current safety and health conditions before you go.
  • Assess your own fitness for the trip and talk to your physician where appropriate. Trips involve walking, stairs, heat, uneven ground, boats, and long days.
  • Tell us in writing about medical conditions, mobility needs, allergies, and dietary requirements before your final payment, so we have time to do something about them and so we know what matters in an emergency.
  • Bring enough of your prescriptions in original labeled containers, plus a few extra days' worth.
  • Understand what we cannot do. We cannot provide personal care or individual assistance, and accessibility outside the United States is often well below what you are used to.

4Check everything we send you, the day we send it

  • Your name must match your passport exactly. Not your nickname, not your married name if the passport says otherwise. Airlines charge substantial fees for corrections, and sometimes the only fix is buying a new ticket.
  • Verify dates, times, airports, and spellings on every confirmation and itinerary.
  • Tell us immediately if anything is wrong. A correction on day one is free. A correction after ticketing may not be.

5Travel insurance

  • On escorted group trips, insurance is required. Send us your provider and policy number before the final payment date.
  • On individual bookings it is strongly recommended. If you decline, we will ask you to say so in writing.
  • Buy it early. Cancel For Any Reason coverage usually has to be purchased within 14 to 21 days of your first payment. That window closes quietly.
  • Read your own policy. We are not insurance agents and cannot tell you what yours covers.

6Your money and your deadlines

  • Know your final payment date and treat it as real. On group trips, missing it cancels the booking with no refund and no credit.
  • Contact us before a deadline if you are in trouble, not after. Before, almost everything is solvable. After, very little is.
  • Keep your own records of what you have paid.
  • Talk to us before disputing a charge. Nearly every dispute we have seen was a misunderstanding that took five minutes to clear up.

7Stay reachable

  • Keep your email and phone number current with us.
  • Actually read what we send, and check your spam folder. Deadline reminders and trip documents arrive by email.
  • Give us an emergency contact who is not travelling with you.
  • Consider registering with STEP, the free US State Department program that helps them reach you abroad in an emergency.

8Getting there

  • On escorted group trips, do not buy non-refundable airfare until we confirm the trip is operating. We will email you the moment it is.
  • Allow enough time. Two hours for domestic departures, three for international.
  • Reconfirm flight times 24 hours out domestically, 72 hours internationally. Schedules change and airlines do not always tell you.
  • Check entry requirements again 72 hours before departure. Rules can change quickly.
  • Build in a buffer if you are connecting to a cruise or a tour with a fixed departure. A same-day connection is a risk you are choosing to take.
  • Know the baggage rules for every airline on your itinerary.

9While you are away

  • Follow local law and the rules of the places you visit. Penalties abroad can be far harsher than at home, particularly for drugs.
  • Your belongings are yours to mind. Use the room safe, and do not leave valuables on a beach chair.
  • Be on time for group departures. A bus that waits for one person is late for everyone.
  • Drink at your own pace and your own risk.
  • Treat people well, including staff, guides, drivers, and each other.
  • Ask before photographing other travelers or local people.

10Speak up early

  • If something is wrong with your room, your meal, or your day, say so immediately. On the spot, it is usually fixable. After you get home, it usually is not.
  • Tell your Host on a group trip, or email team@lawaltravel.com on an individual booking.
  • Send any complaint in writing within 30 days of returning, with enough detail for us to look into it properly.

Planning Fee Agreement

In order to perform the professional services required to design and arrange your travels, a planning fee is required. The fee is non-refundable, non-transferable, and final upon receipt.

1What the planning fee pays for

Travel planning involves a great deal of time. Our work is based on years of personal experience and professional expertise. We research destinations, hotels and resorts, tour providers, cruises, and activities to meet your specific needs, contact suppliers, coordinate transportation, draft itineraries, and more.

We provide itineraries, vacation plans, and tailored travel arrangements that give travelers peace of mind and save them time.

2If you do not book through us

If you choose not to book through us for any reason, whether you decided not to go, booked elsewhere, or anything else, the fee is retained by us as payment for services rendered.

The planning fee is valid for 30 days. After that we will consider the request cancelled. If you reconvene at any time thereafter, a new planning fee will be due.

3What you are agreeing to

By signing the planning fee form, you agree to this Agreement and the terms listed here:

  • The authorization and disclosure is not considered complete until the form is executed by you.
  • We will not commence any planning until the planning fee has been paid, and we will not continue any planning if planning fees are due.
  • Your quotes, proposals, and itineraries cannot be released until the form is executed and returned.
  • You agree with these terms and retain Lawal Travel Services to research your travel plans.
  • You agree that the planning fee is non-refundable, non-transferable, final, and is not applied toward your reservation booking.
  • You understand that a new planning fee will be charged should you initiate any new requests after 30 days.

Covid-19 Travel Waiver

I requested that Lawal Travel Services ("Agency") book travel arrangements on my behalf. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, I acknowledge and fully understand that these travel arrangements may be interrupted or cancelled by the associated travel supplier, a government entity, or another third party outside of Agency's control for reasons that are unforeseeable at this time.

1Risk of illness

I also understand and acknowledge that travel involves the risk of a variety of hazards to health and safety, including but not limited to injury, illness, disease, epidemics, and pandemics. I expressly understand and agree that I assume all such risks associated with travel whether or not specified herein.

2Supplier policies govern

I further understand and acknowledge that Agency has no control over the associated supplier's policies which, in addition to applicable law, will solely govern any cancellation, rebooking, and refund related to these travel arrangements.

3Insurance

I also understand and acknowledge that the purchase of travel insurance is highly recommended and that coverage for circumstances such as these depends on the specific policy I purchase. Should I elect to obtain coverage, the travel insurance policy obtained by me to cover these travel arrangements will dictate any coverage for financial loss resulting from these circumstances.

4Release

As such, I hereby agree to hold the Agency harmless and release it from any and all liability for any damages including, without limitation, monetary losses, damage to person or property, illness or disease, delays, negligence, or inconvenience, that I may incur as a result of the circumstances described herein.
